Casumo Extends Reading FC Sponsorship Deal

In 2019, Casumo, an award-winning gaming operator, signed a two-year sponsorship deal with English football club, Reading FC. This means that the deal would end in the summer of 2021. However, in August 2021, Casumo extended the deal. Thus, the operator will continue benefiting from the club’s marketing actions, while they finance some of their activities.

Therefore, the operator’s brand will be on the team’s training uniform. Also, the casino will have LED advertising boards at Leasing Stadium. Besides being licensed by Malta Gaming Authority, Casumo secured a UK sports betting license in 2020, which allowed it to be the official partner of the English team.

On the other hand, Reading FC will continue benefiting from Casumo’s promotions. The team’s video content will be displayed on the casino’s website and social media platforms. In addition, Casumo will contribute to ticket sales of the team’s games. The casino is also allowed to give away the team’s replica shirts as prizes to players.

Tim Kilpatrick, Head of Commercial at Reading FC, said that the team is thankful for Casumo’s support over the past two seasons before the conclusion of the first deal. He added that this helped the club grow its fanbase.

Tim added that Casumo has gone above and beyond what the team would expect from any sponsor. Besides, the team is delighted that Casumo has agreed to continue the partnership into their future as they collectively celebrate 150 years of history. For this reason, this partnership is referred to as a ‘special relationship.’

Mark Strijbosch, Casumo’s sports marketing communications specialist, said that the company is excited to extend the partnership with a community-based club and is looking forward to engaging more with fans.

Mark also said he can’t wait for the new season to start and have fans back to the stadium.
